The Fairhope Museum of History will host “Tea for Two” on October 1 at 2:00 p.m. Each Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., the Museum hosts a 'tea' where guests enjoy a cup of delicious Baldwin County tea, cookies and a lecture on an interesting aspect of Fairhope history. These very popular afternoon events are sponsored by the Friends of the Museum group

Since 1992, AMEA and its Members (Alexander City, Dothan, Fairhope, Foley-Riviera Utilities, LaFayette, Lanett, Luverne, Opelika, Piedmont, Sylacauga and Tuskegee) have provided scholarships to area high school seniors through the AMEA Scholarship Program. Scholarships, totaling approximately $82,500, were awarded in the 2013 program.

The City of Fairhope is now accepting nominations for 2013 Veteran of the Year. The Veteran of the Year award recognizes a veteran who has not only served his/her country but has used the leadership skills and abilities learned in service to the nation to better the community through selfless volunteerism.
