The James P. Nix Center, located near downtown Fairhope, serves as the City of Fairhope Senior Activity Center and as a rental facility for wedding receptions, anniversary parties, business gatherings, family reunions and much more. The Ballroom and Card Room can be rented for the ideal spot for your special occasion.

Ballroom

The Ballroom, which is the Nix Center’s largest rental room, has 5,000 square feet of space that can be used. This space will accommodate gatherings of up to 240 people in a banquet style setting, while 500 people can attend an event, with a theater style seating arrangement (extra chairs will need to be rented). This space is most often used for weddings, wedding receptions, anniversary parties, large conferences and various fairs.

Card Room

The Doris Chennell Card Room may be rented for smaller events and functions and is most often used for small meetings, seminars and small celebrations. This room is set with small card tables and four chairs around each table and this set up cannot be changed.
