Each Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., the Museum hosts a 'tea' where guests enjoy a cup of delicious Baldwin County tea, cookies and a lecture on an interesting aspect of Fairhope history. These very popular afternoon events are sponsored by the Friends of the Museum group. The Fairhope Museum of History invites everyone to attend for colorful, interesting and entertaining afternoons at the museum. FREE BIKE CLINIC ON SATURDAY, MAY 7 TO CELEBRATE BICYCLE SAFETY MONTH
A free bike clinic is aimed at riders of all ages and designed to teach adults and children what they need to know about their bikes and to encourage more use of bikes in Fairhope, whether as a ride to school, to run errands, or to just peddle around town for fun. The free clinic takes place Saturday, May 7, from 8 to 9 a.m., at Pro Cycle & Tri, 510 Fairhope Avenue. Members of the Fairhope Bicycle-Pedestrian Committee, bike experts from Pro Cycle & Tri, and members of the Fairhope Police Bike Patrol will be on hand to educate folks about rules of road, proper bike etiquette, helmet use, and basic bike maintenance. There will also be a free helmet giveaway. No advance registration is required to attend the clinic.

Get Ready for a Fun Fairhope Girl's Night Out
Fairhope’s Girls Night Out is back, set for Thursday evening, May 12, and it promises to be even more fun than the previous events, said Alex Robinson, director of the Downtown Merchants’ Association. “All for a $20 registration fee, you’ll receive a fun T-shirt and shopping tote ‘swag bag,’ food vouchers, and an exclusive Girls Night Out coupon booklet with special deals available that night and throughout the weekend, May 13-15. The night includes great specials and fun activities at participating shops, such as trunk shows, giveaways, and refreshments.

City of Fairhope will host Summer Outdoor Farmers Market
The City of Fairhope will host a Summer Outdoor Farmer’s Market from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday evenings starting April 28 and ending July 7. The market will be set up behind the Fairhope Public Library in downtown Fairhope on Bancroft Street.

FAIRHOPE PLANS DEDICATION FOR UPGRADES TO WATER RESOURCE RECOVERY FACILITY
The City of Fairhope will host a ribbon cutting and dedication for the upgrades to the Water Resource Recovery Facility. The dedication will be held on Wednesday, March 23 at 10 a.m. The facility is located at 300 North Church Street.

Fairhope Celebrates Natural Gas Utility Workers' Day
The City of Fairhope’s Gas Department celebrated Natural Gas Utility Workers’ Day on Friday, March 18. According the American Public Gas Association (APGA), this date was chosen because “March 18 is the date of the New London, Texas school explosion in 1937 that led to the widespread odorization of natural gas and an increased emphasis on safety”. Safety is a major emphasis in the City’s gas department where they make sure gas is delivered to city residents in the safest way possible.

Arts and Crafts Storm Press Release
FAIRHOPE, Ala. - A major storm passed through Fairhope Thursday night following setup for the 64th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival. Approximately 20 tents in the festival were damaged by the high winds but everyone is safe.

FAIRHOPE CITY POOL TO OFFER LIFE GUARD CERTIFICATION CLASSES IN MARCH, APRIL
The City of Fairhope Municipal Pool will offer a lifeguard certification class beginning on Monday, April 11 and ending on Friday, April 15. The class will be held nightly between 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
