Applications for 2024 Veteran of the Year are now being accepted by the City of Fairhope. Each year the city honors a local living veteran who has served his or her country and has also used the leadership skills and abilities learned in service to the nation to better the community.

The federal funding will come from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and has been designated to the H.L. Sonny Callahan Airport. These funds will be strategically invested in street, water, and sewer improvements on light industrial land adjacent to the airport.
