City of Fairhope ADA Transition Plan
In 2016 The City of Fairhope engaged Engineering Design Technologies to identify areas in the Fairhope Corporate limits that do not meet the requirements of the 2010 American with Disabilities Act standards for Public Right of Ways. Based on those findings, EDT prepared a Transition Plan as defined by the American with Disabilities Act of 1990, Title II listing the areas that are non-compliance and providing a plan for bringing those areas into compliance. City of Fairhope Sponsors ADA Compliance Training for Builders, Developers, and Designers
On June 26, 2018 the City of Fairhope partnered with Compliance Support Associates to provide training for ADA for the Public Right of Way Incorporating PROWAG. In attendance were over 75 builders, developers, engineers, and local officials from more than 9 jurisdictions to learn About compliance issues and techniques available to meet these requirements. Attached is the Powerpoint presentation that was provided by and taught by Rick Hinrichs of CSA.
