FAIRHOPE, Alabama – The City of Fairhope will hold two Comprehensive Land Use Plan neighborhood meetings this week.
Meetings will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 4th, at Rotary Youth Club and at 10 a.m. Friday November 5th, at the James P. Nix Center The public is invited to attend.
The goal of the meetings is for the project staff to lead a facilitated discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing the City of Fairhope. Feedback gathered from residents during these meetings will be used to create a community-driven comprehensive land use plan for the City of Fairhope to address growth with an emphasis on environmental stewardship and legal foundation for implementation.
“We are counting on our residents to participate and let their opinions be known during the engagement portion of this project,” said Fairhope Mayor Sherry Sullivan. “It is critical that we have participation from all citizens to make this plan a success.”
Future engagement meetings are set 10 a.m. December 2nd at Homestead Village; and 6 p.m. December 2nd at the Thompson Hall Fire Station. Meetings will also be held in January, February and March.
