Post Date:08/16/2021 9:10 AM

The City of Fairhope is requesting comments from the public on our Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan draft. The draft is available for viewing HERE.

This plan was developed to guide the removal of barriers to pedestrian accessibility. It will help City leaders as they create a more accessible City that builds safe and reliable infrastructure, like sidewalks, that can serve residents throughout their lives from young families to aging residents with reduced mobility.

Priority areas include those that lead to government, educational and medical facilities followed by areas that are more highly utilized with the City’s footprint.

Residents can offer comments through August 30th on this plan by filling out the ADA Comment Form available in the link above. The form includes information on how to submit the comments.
