Fairhope Museum of History hosting “Tea for Two”

Each Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., the Museum hosts a 'tea' where guests enjoy a cup of delicious Baldwin County tea, cookies and a lecture on an interesting aspect of Fairhope history. These very popular afternoon events are sponsored by the Friends of the Museum group. The Fairhope Museum of History invites everyone to attend for colorful, interesting and entertaining afternoons at the museum. Upcoming Programs 

June 21 – J.D. Crowe – J.D. will present his new book of political and satirical cartoons.  He has spoken to us before and we look forward to another wildly entertaining program.  

June 28 – Graham Timbes – Graham has just published a book of poems he wrote while in combat during the Viet Nam War.  Written in 1968-69, “Scribblings of a Godless Anarchist: Part I” contains some moving accounts of a soldiers hardships in the trenches. 

July 5 – No Tea for Two. 4th of July Holiday

July 12 – Fran Morley – Fran will present her program, “Mothers, Teachers and Suffragists: Early Women of Fairhope” telling the stories of Lydia Comings, Marie Howland and Marietta Johnson.  

July 19 – Mike Brown –   Mike is the Executive Director of the South Alabama Chapter of the American Red Cross.  He will share with us the activities and services that the Red Cross is involved in along the gulf coast.                       

July 26 – Doris Bishop – Doris is a life-long Fairhope resident who was just featured in an Alabama Public TV program “Journey Bound” about Jubilees.  She will tell her best Jubilee stories.
