The James P. Nix Center will host the 4th Annual Volunteer Fair on Monday, February 15 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. The fair will feature organizations in the Baldwin County area who are looking for volunteers. “With the New Year upon us, many area residents are looking for a way to get involved in their community and the Volunteer Fair is a great way for them to find out where their help is needed” says Sarah Smith, Nix Center manager. “The Volunteer Fair is all about connecting those who want to volunteer with those that need volunteers”, says Smith.
The fair will feature local organizations including the Area Agency on Aging, The Blake at Malbis, Baldwin County Humane Society, Baldwin Musical Memories, Kindred Hospice, Aseracare Hospice, Montrose Bay Health & Rehab, Read Aloud Baldwin, Friends of the Fairhope Public Library, Augustine Literacy Project of Baldwin County, The Haven, Southern Care Hospice, Covenant Care, Community Hospice, Alabama Hospice Care, Earth Day Mobile Bay, Swift-Coles Historic Home, Alabama Coastal Foundation, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Legal Services Alabama, SELF, Feeding the Gulf Coast- Bay Area Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity of Baldwin County, Thomas Hospital Auxiliary, Daphne Art Center, Comfort Care Coastal Hospice, Baldwin House Assisted Living, League of Women Voters of Baldwin County, Eastern Shore Art Center, Baldwin County Trailblazers, Country Place Senior Living, GulfQuest Maritime Museum, Exceptional Foundation of the Gulf Coast, American Red Cross-South Alabama, Catholic Social Services, Baldwin County Extension Office, Care House, South Alabama SCORE Organization, United Way of Baldwin County and the City of Fairhope.
