Fairhope celebrates America Recycles Day for the tenth year by offering free collection for scrap electric items of all kinds (TVs, computers, phones, etc.) plus a shredder van so residents can safely dispose of unneeded paper documents. America Recycles Day will take place on Saturday, November 14, at the South Beach Park, next to the Municipal Pier. Electric recycling drop off and a shredder van will be there from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All Fairhope area residents are invited to drop off the following acceptable electronic items.
- Computer Monitors / CPUs / Towers and Desk tops
- Keyboards
- Printers, scanners, fax machines
- Stereo Equipment
- Television sets
- Cell phones
- Ink and Toner Cartridges
To see what can be included for curbside pickup or brought to America’s Recycle Day, visit the City’s website and pull down from Departments to Public Works, Waste Management, Recycling. The drop off site available on America Recycles Day will be “car friendly” so you do not have to tote your load very far.
