Arts & Crafts weekend returns to the streets of downtown Fairhope on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 14–16, 2014.
This year’s Arts & Crafts Festival, sponsored by the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, is Friday–Sunday, March 14, 15 & 16, 2014. A prestigious, highly juried show, Arts & Crafts features more than 230 exhibitors from throughout the country. The highly juried, prestigious show was chosen as one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast for March by the Alabama Bureau of Tourism, and is also one of the Top 20 events, as selected by the Southeast Tourism Society. Readers of Alabama Magazine named the festival for a “Best of Bama” award.
Concurrent with Arts & Crafts is the equally esteemed Outdoor Art Show, hosted by the Eastern Shore Art Center and held on the Art Center grounds and surrounding downtown streets. For 42 years, the Outdoor Art Show has included the work of the best of international and regional fine artists. This year’s show is expected to include 150 exhibiting artists. An expanded Children’s Activity area will be located on Equality Street, with bubble making, hula hooping demonstrations, face painting, a bounce house, gyroscope, and more.
Baldwin County Area Transportation (BRATS) will offer shuttle service from Plantation Pointe Shopping Center, Ecor Rouge Place, and Eastern Shore Village (on Greeno Road). Parking at these locations is free; shuttle rides are $2 each way.
Festival hours are 10am to 5pm daily for both shows and there is no admission charge. For more information visit www.eschamber.com or call 251-928-6387.
