FAIRHOPE – Senior citizens and their loved ones are invited to the 8th Annual Health & Wealth Fair on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at the James P. Nix Center in Fairhope. The event is co-sponsored by the City of Fairhope’s James P. Nix Center and Optimum Asset Management of Daphne. The event begins at 9 am and features informational displays from area businesses and professionals in the health and financial fields, door prizes, and three keynote speakers. Participants who attend all informational booths will be eligible for a free box lunch, compliments of The Brennity, and participants who attend the three lectures will be eligible to win door prizes, including the grand prize of an Apple iPad! You must be present at the 2 p.m. drawing to win the iPad.
Greg Dorriety of Optimum Asset Management will be one of the three keynote speakers, as well as Jan Ruffin with Jan’s World Travel and Janet Pittman, Dementia Specialist with Brookside Retirement Community.
Informational booths and various health screenings will be provided from 9 a.m. to noon by the followings agencies: Harris Properties Management Inc., The Brennity, Mrs. Alabama 2013, Advocare, Community Hospice, Ascent Audiology & Hearing, Project Rebound, Baldwin County Council on Aging, Southeast Podiatry, Workforce Housing Alliance, Assisted Transition, Worsham Insurance Group, South Baldwin Regional Medical Wound Care Center, Optimum Insurance Group LLC, Touching Hearts Senior Care, Jan’s World Travel, Mercy Life of Alabama, Covenant Hospice, Affordable Care Act, Home Instead Senior Care, Fairhope Health and Rehab, Southern Capital Services, Country Place Living, Aging in Alabama and Home Care Companions.
