The Kiwanis Club of Fairhope and the Eastern Shore will host its 6th annual Fairhope Kiwanis Best of the Bay Gumbo Championship on Saturday, October 22. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fairhope’s Faulkner State Community College Halstead Amphitheatre. Tickets are $20 for adults and free for children under the age of 12. Prizes will be awarded for the best overall gumbo to a professional or restaurant team, best non-restaurant team and for the best decorated booth and a people’s choice.
