The Fairhope Museum of History will host “Tea for Two” on August 5 at 2:00 p.m. The speaker will be Donnie Barrett. Each Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., the Museum hosts a 'tea' where guests enjoy a cup of delicious Baldwin County tea, cookies and a lecture on an interesting aspect of Fairhope history. These very popular afternoon events are sponsored by the Friends of the Museum group.
The schedule for August is as follows: August 12, Creighton C. ‘Peco’ Forsman, a lifelong resident of Baldwin County and former U.S. Navy Corpsman and Viet Nam Veteran, will present his new book “She’s Bound to be A Goer!” about bay boats. August 19, Ron Driesboch, will present a history of the Eastern Martial Arts of Tai Chi and Chi Gung and demonstrate simple techniques to improve memory and balance. August 26, Flo Schneider will speak on her life in Fairhope. Flo is the great granddaughter of Fairhope Founder Clement Coleman and daughter-in-law to Fairhope Mayor Joe Schneider. The Fairhope Museum of History invites everyone to attend for colorful, interesting and entertaining afternoons at the museum.
